DCRB meeting postponed
LCC have advised of the following:
The Development Control and Regulatory Board (DCRB) is due to hold a special meeting to discuss the following item: Energy from Waste (Biffa) – Newhurst Quarry, Shepshed. This meeting was provisionally organised to take place on Wednesday 28 July 2010. This provisional date has now been changed; the special meeting of the DCRB will now take place during the week commencing Monday 20 September 2010.
This is the second postponed requested by Biffa. Please take this opportunity to object to the proposals.

Leicestershire County Council are holding a Public meeting to discuss the Incinerator Plans. March 8th 2010 at Shepshed High School, Shepshed 7pm. Please take the time to go along.

Dec 2009: Planning permission has now been lodged with Leicestershire County Council by Biffa. If successful construction will begin in 2011. Now is the time to speak out against the incinerator
